Devin earned his PhD in pharmacology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he employed in vivo behavioral fiber photometry to investigate the effects of the psychedelic psilocin on reactivity within key stress-related circuitry. He believes investigation into psychedelic drug action could reveal shared mechanisms across multiple psychiatric conditions and contribute to the development of novel, more effective treatment options. In his spare time, Devin is an avid cyclist and snowboarder. His greatest joy is spending time with his daughter, Fiona.

Jill (she/her) received her PhD in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scota. Her predoctoral research focused on neural circuits in the mouse visual system where she utilized in vivo electrophysiology and optogenetic techniques to examine the role of interneurons in neural plasticity. Jill’s research interests have shifted towards more translational topics, and she joined the Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry to establish physiological experimental methods that can be used to investigate both stress dysregulation and novel psychiatric drug interventions.
